This is a rotating collection of some pieces that I have created with a variety of techniques that include throwing, trimming on the Potter’s Wheel, hand-building as well as slip-casting with liquid porcelain. The various qualities unique to the properties of various clays give rise to a multitude of outcomes which evoke different sensibilities - from the rugged, elemental nature of stoneware clay to the sensual finish of porcelain. I enjoy exploring how these different forms and methods can give rise to differing states of emotion and sense of being.

While striving to achieve a high level of technicality with my pieces, I am also inspired by the philosophy of wabi-sabi - beauty in imperfection, and the warmth and intimacy that comes from a uniquely handmade object.
